I’ve Been MIA
March 15, 2010 Uncategorized
Yes, I have been MIA from blogging, but that is because I was in MIA! A group of my old soccer pals and I travelled down to Miami for our alumni soccer weekend. This weekend included the alumni playing a soccer game against the current players and boy was that a sight to see! A bunch of old chicks running around trying to keep up with college girls. Yes, we lost, but we did so while laughing and having a good time. It was great to get back on that field, although it definitely made me miss the good ol’ days. Why do we go to college when we are too young to appreciate it? If I only knew then what I knew now!

Yummy! I love all cookies but especially Christmas cookies! I wait all year for these tasty little treats. Tonight I will spend my night baking, singing, and definitely eating way too many cookies. ;-)

Santa & Pub Crawls
December 16, 2009 Uncategorized
When you think Santa, you think toys, and when you think pub crawls, you think beer. But the real question is how do the two fit together? Well, let me explain. A few Saturdays ago, a friend and his fiance planned their second annual Santa Pub Crawl. This pub crawl takes place at the local watering holes in Salem, Massachusetts. The idea of the pub crawl is to get everyone in the holiday spirit by having all participants dress up in Christmas outfits and hit the town singing, dancing and spreading good cheer (there was more signing and dancing at the end of the night, but good cheer was spread the entire day!). But there is a good cause behind all this. The admission to this pub crawl was that you had to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots. The Santa Pub Crawl Toys for Tots drive was such a great success that our organizers efforts were acknowledged by the Boston Bruins organization. This was an awesome event for an awesome cause and it is already penciled in on my calendar for next year!

The awesome organizers…Mr. & Mrs Santa Claus! Who did you expect?!

We even made a stop at the North Pole!

The whole crew…

Meet the McMunzers: Part II
December 4, 2009 Uncategorized
Meet Dexter! Dexter has many nicknames, but his formal name is Dexter Elraie. Why does he have a last name you ask? Well, we received a letter in the mail addressed to our address, but to a “Mr. Elraie”. Since we had just adopted Dexter, we assumed it must be his last name, and that must have been his mail.
So here he is, the king of the castle, Mr. Dexter Elraie!
